Wish I were joking. Things have been hard and Not Okay™.

Being pulled in so many critical directions has really made me lose sight of everything > I was going to elaborate on this, but no…lose sight of everything feels accurate.

I’m working now on reestablishing contact with all of my avenues now that things are beginning to settle. Hi, hello.

The biggest announcement I have to make, is that I’m working with my folks (obviously, in part, posthumously) to put together a gallery show!

The show will feature 3D renderings made by my dad, a massive crochet tapestry made in collaboration with my mom, interactive web exhibits on vintage tech, and a host of supporting paintings.

A:\>format will be taking place at Subspace Art Collective in Tucson, AZ September 5th, with a closing reception the following Saturday, September 12th. Exact details will follow as things solidify.

DOOM logo tapestry

This whole tapestry is going to be well over 10’ long once finished, and will depict the DOOM logo rendered in the decompiled binary of the game itself - doom.wad Or at least as much as can be reasonably crocheted in a year. The entirety of the code would be miles long 〒▽〒

Mom is taking the top half, an 8x8 portion of the design made up of 64 11” squares - with each stitch representing a bit of code.

Then I’m taking an equally sized portion of the bottom. The DO and the OM respectively.

My solo contributions

Here are a few of the things I’m working on by myself. I’m really trying to take on a mixed media approach for this show - using whatever means necessary to get my ideas across. That includes a lot of research into things like html/css, and risograph printing.

I’ve also done a fair bit of pixel work!

Stamps

If you’ve been on the internet as long as I have, you might have encountered stamps on peoples’ personal sites as little bits of shareware. Use freely on your site, just link back to me! NO HOTLINKING!
